With that out of the way, let’s dive into the story of how Senseon ended up being a finalist for the Challengers Award on the 50th anniversary of IWF.

The Challengers Award panel of 10 distinguished judges decided to select the product as a finalist because of its innovation and problem solving solutions.

It should be noted that Senseon’s competitors are some very deserving product solutions companies that are offering impressive advancements in the woodworking industry. But up for the challenge is Director of Solutions Marketing, Greg Rewers. He will demonstrate the ingenuity of Senseon to the judges. “In my opinion, doing a live, in-person demonstration of Senseon is actually a lot more comfortable than the paper submission because Senseon is such a visual solution,” said Rewers.

While the story of how Senseon came to be a finalist for the 2016 Challengers Award is an interesting one, the story of why Senseon was chosen in the first place might be even more valuable to those who can utilize its innovative technology.

The Challengers Award proudly states it hands out the trophy to a new product with the most innovation which advances the industry. By giving Senseon the award, the judges agreed that Senseon allows retail, commercial, and high-end residential professionals the ability to achieve greater levels of security, efficiency, and reliability than traditional lock and key systems.

One of the key attributes of Senseon is the system’s ability to not just solve an industry problem, but to revolutionize and improve the functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics of security across numerous industries, including woodworking. Senseon offers endless possibilities and could evolve in becoming an industry standard.

Another attribute of Senseon is how easy the system is to use, install and program. The system introduces a revolutionary technology, but can be effectively used by almost anyone, without serious training. It can be installed without any prior electrical or wiring knowledge. The judges noted how this showed that Accuride took a complicated problem and created a simple solution which could be used by the masses to save companies and individual users time and money.

With Senseon still in the early stages, the Challengers Award is sure to be one of the exciting early milestones in the overall story of the system. Accuride would like to send out a big thank you to the Challengers Award committee, the wonderful panel of judges, and the International Woodworkers Fair.
