Senseon® Secure Access Control is once again in the spotlight: STORES, one of the retail industry’s leading publications, has featured the cabinet-level access system in its November 2016 edition.
That’s a big deal. STORES is the official magazine of the National Retail Federation, the world’s largest retail group. More importantly, it’s a magazine delivered to thousands of global business leaders.
As you may know, Senseon is a cutting-edge system launched earlier this year. Using an easily programmed card, fob, or other accessory, operators can access controlled contents with a mere tap in front of an electronic reader. This seamless form of access control can be used for retail, healthcare, and financial settings, to name a few.
In her article, author Lauri Giesen highlights several of Senseon’s key features, including support of up to:
- 5 administrators
- 100 users
- 15 doors or drawers
Additionally, Senseon Secure Access Control systems can withstand up to 250 lbs. of break-force.
Designers can easily retrofit Senseon to existing displays while keeping the newly installed security system hidden from view. This feature allows display areas to maintain a clean and uncluttered aesthetic.
It’s not just about design: Senseon’s controlled access means that retail businesses can store more merchandise in the sales space. That means associates have swift access to items without them being vulnerable. Not having staff waste valuable time leaving the sales floor to search backroom stock is a big gain for retailers and customers alike.
Simplicity extends to operation. An administrator can quickly add or delete user-access—an especially useful benefit in environments that can see high attrition. Managers and administrators no longer have to worry about crafting new keys or replacing old locks. Senseon access is 100% programmed.
Greg Rewers, Senseon’s Solutions Marketing Director, explained the convenience behind the cutting-edge access control system: “You don’t have to worry that employees will forget to relock a cabinet after showing merchandise. This [system] can be programmed to automatically relock…seconds after it’s been opened.”
Senseon systems are powered by Accuride International’s precision movement solutions. That’s a strong asset given Accuride’s proven background in the development of reliable sliding systems. Accuride’s CEO, Scott Jordan, summarizes the systems’ benefits as follows: “It offers a simple, better way to reduce theft, streamline operations, ease employees’ jobs and improve the customer experience.”
